!PRINTER
[Printer / File / Screen]
Enter [P] to print to the printer device (printer device can
be changed with the Printer Setup function). Enter [F] to
print to a file, in which case you will be asked for a file
name that will contain the report. Enter [S] to print the
report to the screen. When printing to the screen, a temp-
orary file is created first and then the file is viewed in
its entirety on the screen with full scrolling capabilities.
When printing to the printer, the printer will be set to
8 lines per inch.
!FILE NAME
[File Name]
When printing to a file, enter the name of the file that
will contain the report. The file will be created in the
current data directory. Make sure a valid DOS file name
is entered (no path is allowed). This file can then
be viewed or printed from DOS.
Warning!! If the file already exists, the newly created
file will write over the existing file.
!COPIES
[Number of Copies]
Enter the number of copies of this report you wish to
print. Valid entries are 1 - 9.
*FFADRAFT
!SELECTION
Select the desired function by highlighting the function
and pressing [ENTER]. Press [Esc] to return to the Main
Menu.
Setup Draft Information
This function is used to set up the options your league
uses for the draft, such as number of rounds, method of
draft order, and assigning random team numbers.
View/Modify Draft Order
This function is used to view or modify the draft order.
After the draft order is initially assigned in Setup
Draft Information, you can modify it to allow for pre
draft trades.
Print Draft Work Sheets
After the draft order is set, use this function to print
a sheet for each owner showing what pick he has in each
round. The owner can use this sheet to write in his draft
picks.
Start/Resume Draft
This function is used to record the actual draft picks.
This function can be started and resumed any number of
times.
Print Draft Summary
This report will show by round, what players were selected
and what teams drafted them.
Export Draft Picks To FFA
After the draft is completed, use this function to export
the draft picks to FFA, eliminating the need to manually
enter each owner's lineup.
Reset For New Draft
Use this function to reset draft information. This should
be used just prior to running your actual draft if you
have run a mock draft with test information.
*SETUP
!MAX ROUNDS
[Maximum Number of Draft Rounds]
Enter the number of rounds your league will draft. A
maximum of 22 rounds is allowed.
!MULTIPLE
[Allow multiple teams to select the same player?]
Enter [Y] if your league uses the option where more than
one fantasy team can draft the same NFL player. When the
draft is being run and this option is used, then the
remaining player list will not remove a player once he has
been selected. Instead, and asterisk (*) will be displayed
between the player's position and NFL team code.
Enter [N] to not allow more than one fantasy team to draft
the same NFL player. During the draft, once a player is
selected, then he will be removed from the remaining player
list.
!ASSIGN TEAM NUMBERS
[Assign Random Team Numbers]
Enter [Y] to randomly assign team numbers to the owners.
Enter [N] to leave the team numbers as they have been enter-
ed with Team Maintenance. Some leagues, especially those
using divisions, want to assign new team numbers each year
so the same teams won't be in the same division each year.
NOTE: When new team numbers are assigned, owner information
will also be automatically adjusted to reflect the new team
numbers.
!DRAFT METHOD
[Draft Order Method]
Enter the number of the draft method your league uses. Enter
[1] to randomly assign the first 16 picks (replace 16 with
the actual number of teams in your league) and then reverse
the next round. For example, the team with the first pick in
the first round would have the last pick in the 2nd round.
This order would remain the same for the remaining rounds.
Enter [2] to randomly assign the first picks and then keep
that order for the rest of the draft. The team that has the
first pick in the draft would have the first pick in every
round.
Enter [3] to randomly assign the first picks and reverse the
order for the 2nd round. For each odd round, the picks
would be randomly picked and the even rounds would reverse
the order. This method is typically the one most used.
Enter [4] to randomly assign the picks for each and every
round.
If your league has determined the draft order some other
way, then you can select one of the methods (it doesn't
matter which one) and then use View/Modify Draft Order to
manually adjust the draft order.
Note that an option has been added in the View/Modify
Draft Order to manually enter the first round, then have
the remaining rounds automatically calculated, either
keeping all rounds the same or reversing the even rounds.
!ASSIGN DRAFT ORDER
[Assign Draft Order Now]
Enter [Y] to have the computer automatically assign the
draft picks now. Enter [N] if not ready to assign the draft
picks or if they have already been assigned.
!MAX TIME
[ # Of Seconds Between Picks ]
Enter the number of seconds alloted for each owner to make
a pick. Enter 0 to disable the timer during the draft. The
maximum that can be entered is 999, so the maximum time that
can be entered converts to 16 minutes and 39 seconds.
Minutes Seconds
1 60
2 120
3 180
4 240
5 300
During the draft, the seconds remaining will be displayed
on the screen. When the timer reaches 0, then the speaker
will beep, and then you will have an option to either skip
the owner or give the owner more time. If the owner is
skipped, he will be moved to the end of the round, and come
up again after the other owners have completed their picks
for the round.
*DRAFT ORDER
!ROUND
[Round #]
Enter the draft round that you wish to view/modify. Once
entered, the teams and the draft order will be displayed.
Pressing [F5] can be used to automatically assign all
rounds based on the first round. If you manually enter
the draft order, after entering the first round, press
[F5] to assign the remaining rounds. You then have the
option to keep all rounds the same, or to reverse the
even rounds.
!TEAM
[Team #]
Enter the team # that has this pick. Note that it is
possible for a team to have more than 1 pick in a round
in order to compensate for trading of draft picks (ie.
team 1 trades it's 3rd round pick for team 2's 2nd round
pick, in which case team 1 would have 2 second round picks
and team 2 would have 2 third round picks), so be careful
when making modifications.
!CONFIRM
If you have made some changes to the draft order and you
try to exit by pressing [Esc] without first saving those
changes with [F10], a message will warn you of the fact and
ask if you really wish to exit without saving the changes.
Enter [Y] to cancel any changes made, else enter [N] and
then press [F10] to save the changes.
!CONFIRM DUPS
If a round has a team with more than 1 pick in the round,
you must confirm that this is correct. Enter [Y] to save
the changes, else enter [N] or press [Esc] to cancel.
!AUTO ASSIGN
If you manually enter the draft order, you can automatically
assign the remaining rounds after entering the first round.
If you wish to keep all rounds the same, enter [S]. If you
want to reverse the even rounds, then enter [R]. Press
[Esc] if you do not wish to perform this function.
*START DRAFT
!DRAFT ROUND
[Draft Round]
The round with which to resume the draft is requested. The
round where the draft was at when it was suspended will be
displayed, and typically this is the round you would con-
tinue with. Note that you can not enter a round greater than
the round when the draft was suspended. But you may enter a
round prior to the current round.
If the draft order got messed up somehow, you can exit form
the draft (make sure you say yes when it asks if you wish
to save the draft information), and then resume the draft
at the round and pick where it was last correct.
!DRAFT PICK
[Draft Pick]
The pick with which to resume the draft is requested. The
pick where the draft was at when it was suspended will be
displayed. Once entered, the previous round's picks will be
loaded into the program and the draft will start at the
entered round and pick.
!NAME
[Name]
When manually entering a player that is not in the table,
enter the name of the player.
!POSITION
[Position]
When manually entering a player that is not in the table,
enter the position of the player. [Q]=quarterback, [R]=
running back, [W]=wide receiver, [T]=tight end, [K]=kicker,
[D]=defense, [C]=coach.
!TEAM
[Team]
Enter the NFL team code of the player. Leave blank to
display a look-up window showing the team codes.
!REMAINING
This table shows the NFL players that have not yet been
drafted. Note that if using the option for multiple teams
to select the same player, then when a player is selected,
the list will only mark the player as selected with an
asterisk (*) instead of removing his name from the list.
There are several options available which are available
by pressing certain function keys which are as follows:
F2 - If the player drafted does not appear in the window,
press this key to perform a manual entry.
F3 - Will resort the players by position.
F4 - Will resort the players by NFL team and name.
F5 - Will display a list of drafted players.
F6 - If you have set up a maximum number of seconds
between picks, this key will act as a toggle to
start/stop the timer. When the timer is activated,
it will appear in the upper right corner of the
screen. When the elapsed time reaches the maximum
time, then the speaker will beep. The timer will
reset to 0 automatically when it is the next owners
turn to pick.
F7 - If the timer is active, pressing this key will
reset the timer back to zero.
F10 -Will backup and remove the last draft pick. Note
that you can only go back 1 draft pick. If you
get off track and need to back up more than 1 pick,
then suspend the draft (press Esc to exit and
respond Y when it asks if you wish to save the
draft information). Then restart the draft and
enter the round and pick where you wish to resume.
!DRAFTED
This table shows the players that have been drafted. This
table can be sorted various ways. [F3] will sort the table
by position, [F4] will sort by NFL team code, and [F5] will
sort by fantasy team number.
!REMAINING SORTED
This table will display the players that have not yet been
drafted. It can be sorted in various ways. [F2] will sort
by name, [F3] will sort by position and [F4] will sort by
NFL team code. Note: If a player has an asterisk (*) by his
name, then it means he has been drafted by another team
and you are using the option to allow more than 1 team to
draft the same player.
*EXPORT
!EXPORT
When exporting draft picks to FFA, you must confirm that you
really wish to do so. If the draft has not been completed,
a message will be displayed on the screen warning you of the
condition. You can still go ahead and export to FFA by
entering [Y] to the confirmation message. If you are not
ready to export to FFA, enter [N].
*PRINT
!COMMISH
If you want to print commissioner work sheets, then enter
[Y] else enter [N]. Commissioner work sheets will print a
sheet for each round and the draft order of the round. The
commissioner can use these sheets to manually enter each
draft pick.
*RESET
!RESET
When resetting draft information, you must confirm this
action in case this selection was accidentally selected.
Enter [Y] to reset the draft, else enter [N].
